Olympique Lyonnais’ 3-2 win over AS Monaco on Sunday night at Groupama Stadium helped seal Paris Saint-Germain’s 12th Ligue 1 title. A win from Adi Hütter and his team would’ve prevented the Parisians from celebrating, but that wasn’t the case.

The capital club overcame a 3-1 deficit to level the scoring for a 3-3 draw against Le Havre on Saturday at the Parc des Princes. As a result, the pressure was back on Monaco to win on the road against Lyon.

Once OL clinched their win, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi offered his reaction to their latest league title.

“Winning the league is fantastic, but winning Ligue 1 for the twelfth time is even more special for everyone associated with Paris Saint-Germain,” Al-Khelaïfi said (h/t RMC Sport). “Congratulations to all the players, to our coach Luis Enrique and his staff, to Luis Campos and his department, as well as to all the members of the Club.

“Since the beginning of the season, the team has been so collective and united. I don’t forget the supporters, who have been extraordinary, regardless of the result. We will enjoy this moment together with family. And also continue to work hard, match after match, until the last moment of the season.”

With the Ligue 1 title now wrapped up, manager Luis Enrique and his team can now focus on the UEFA Champions League semifinal tie against Borussia Dortmund and the Coupe de France Final, where they’ll face Lyon. PSG has the opportunity to win a historic triple, and one part is already done with two more to go.
