Thomas Tuchel was furious as he spoke to the press after their exit to Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-final.
The Bavarians were shocked in the final minutes as Joselu grabbed an unlikely brace to send the Los Blancos to the final in Wembley. As referee Szymon Marciniak‘s ‘early’ offside call denied a goal for the visitors, Tuchel made sure that he let out the frustration be felt.
Speaking to the press, Tuchel claimed that the referee made a huge mistake to call back play when he could’ve let play continue and consult VAR afterwards. While the official rules conform to what Tuchel argued about, football X is split in its response. Tuchel was clearly frustrated that his side had to let go of their only shot at winning silverware because of an official’s ‘wrong’ decision.
It's against every rule of modern football. We accept the loss. It is what it is, but it would not have happened on the other side. Thomas Tuchel said in a post-match interview
“This WOULD NOT HAPPEN on the other side!”

The German manager also questioned the referee’s courage to make such an important decision when he couldn’t have possibly been sure if it was 100% offside.
When the lights shine the brightest, Real Madrid never go dim. The Los Blancos have once again proved that they are side that can never be written off.
No matter the scoreline or the odds, the men in white always find a way to win and in style! If there was any doubt as to whether Real Madrid were indeed the ‘kings’ of the competition, Carlo Ancelotti‘s men cast away every shadow of doubt against them.
Madrid were in the mood to win on Wednesday night as they pushed back Bayern into their own half for the majority of the first half. The second half saw a shift in play as Alphonso Davies grabbed an unlikely goal in the 68th minute on his weak foot. With just 2 minutes left of normal time, up stepped substitute Joselu to capitalize on an unlikely error from Manuel Neuer.

As the Santiago Bernabeu erupted into life, Joselu completed the comeback thanks to a play from Antonio Rudiger . The Spaniard’s strike, even though into an empty net, sent Madrid into the final with a chance to claim their 15th UCL title against Borussia Dortmund.
